As most of you know, we lost a true visionary of the fashion world yesterday with Alexander McQueen's death. I find it in poor taste to do a tribute post to him but to not lend some mention to this man and his greatness is nearly equal. To say that I was emotionally devastated over his loss is an understatement. McQueen along with other designers, was one of the main reasons I decided to pursue my dreams of being in the fashion industry because he constantly strove to break the rules, creating his own for others to follow in his wake. He was one of the first designers that I looked at his runway productions (They transcend the title of runway 'show') and understood that fashion is a wondrous art form. He understood the head to toe to personality aesthetic of it all. He greatly influenced the direction of fashion,His legacy will live on in the the vividly colorful and beautifully constructed pieces he left behind. He is gone but not forgotten. Let's strive to remember the incredible footprint he left on fashion and the world as the whole. My condolences go out to his family for losing a truly remarkable human being.
